Standards

The BSV Association maintains and publishes standards for the BSV Blockchain to facilitate wallet interoperability. Standards are reviewed by working groups and maintained by the community.

BRC-100

Unified, Vendor-Neutral, Unchanging, and Open BSV Blockchain Standard Wallet-to-Application Interface

The BRC-100 standard defines a standard wallet-to-application interface for BSV Blockchain wallets. This protocol aims to standardize the interaction between wallets and decentralized applications in the BSV ecosystem. The interface is designed to be vendor-neutral, supporting a wide range of implementations, ensuring interoperability, and promoting openness across different wallet and app vendors.

BSV-21

Extensible Fungible Token Specification

The BSV-21 token standard provides a fungible token specification based on the BRC-20 standard used on the BTC blockchain. Prioritizing simplicity, the BSV-21 token specification enables developers to mint and interact with fungible tokens easily, while leveraging the flexibility and scalability of the BSV Blockchain. BSV-21 builds on the BSV-20 specification, allowing the capabilities to have a smart contract, or an administrator, control distribution of the tokens.
